Blu Zeus a Sponsor of "A Day to Remember" charity volleyball tournament

WILMINGTON- Blu Zeus is proud to have been a sponsor for the 8th annual A Day to Remember volleyball tournament and family festival, which took place Saturday, October 22, 2011.  The event was hosted by Alzheimer’s North Carolina and Capt’n Bill’s Backyard Grill to benefit the Wilmington Branch of Alzheimer’s NC.

The event honors and memorializes “Capt’n” Bill Musser, who passed away from Alzheimer’s in 2003.  This year’s tournament and festival raised nearly $18,000. The money raised helps families in Wilmington and surrounding counties that have family members that are dealing with Alzheimer’s.

Thanks to the staff, volunteers and beautiful weather, the event truly was A Day To Remember. The event offered something for everyone to enjoy.  Apart from the hearty competition on the volleyball courts, there was a petting zoo, dunking booth and other amusements providing fun for the whole family.

This is Blu Zeus’ sixth year in sponsoring of A Day to Remember with Capt’n Bill’s Backyard Grill and the Alzheimer’s North Carolina. Justin Queen, Blu Zeus president says “We are thrilled to support such a great cause and are happy to help families with Alzheimer’s.”
